First Aid at Work (1 day)
This one-day course will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training is required; this course is great in accompanying an office risk assessment.
Who is it meant for?
This course is perfect for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid. It is especially suited to those nominated as first aiders in small, low-risk working environments, such as small offices. The course covers protocol for adult casualties only, as such is the environment in which it is designed to be used.
How long are our First Aid at Work courses?
The course will take one day to complete and takes place in a classroom setting.
What training should we expect from the course?
The course covers various basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge, specifically for workplace health and safety, covering:
- Adult resuscitation (CPR)
- Burns and Scalds
- Choking Adults
- Communication and casualty care
- Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory-based)
- Defibrillator pad placement (theory-based)
- Minor and severe bleeding first response
- Role of the first aider (including health and safety regulations)
- Seizures
- Shock
- Unresponsive Adult
Assessment
Continuous observation by the training consultant and written assessments.
Certification
Successful candidates will receive a certificate.
